First Aid at Work

Our First Aid at Work Training Pack includes everything that you require to deliver a course that is equivalent to the Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work RQF/QCF. Topics include; the role and responsibilities of a first-aider, being able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally, being able to manage a casualty with external bleeding, being able to manage a casualty with a minor injury, being able to conduct a secondary survey, being able to administer first aid to a casualty with suspected head and spinal injuries, and being able to administer first aid to a casualty with anaphylaxis.

When you use this resource to deliver a First Aid at Work course, your learners will:

1. Understand the role and responsibilities of a first aider
2. Be able to assess an incident
3. Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally
4. Be able to manage an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally
5. Be able to recognise and assist a casualty who is choking
6. Be able to manage a casualty with external bleeding
7. Be able to manage a casualty who is in shock
8. Be able to manage a casualty with a minor injury
9. Be able to conduct a secondary survey
10. Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with injuries to bones, muscles and joints
11. Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with suspected head and spinal injuries
12. Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with suspected chest injuries
13. Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with burns and scalds
14. Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with an eye injury
15. Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with sudden poisoning
16. Be able to administer first aid to a casualty with anaphylaxis
17. Be able to provide first aid to a casualty with suspected major illness
